Create Balance For Easy Progress

Find health balance.

—

Growing up I neglected my health and suffered the consequence.

  • Bitter

  • Anxious

  • Depressed

The list can go on and on.

And the most important thing — I lacked any way to measure the progress toward better days.

—

That all changed when I decided to radically transform my health.

It started by changing sleeping and eating patterns.

Then exercising regularly.

Momentum.

This led me to the world of bio-hacking.

I was captivated by podcasts of Dr. Andrew Huberman and the supplements that could increase my muscles.

Poor health caused my problems.

Health knowledge was gonna be the solution.

Right?

So I went down the rabbit hole.

  • Keto

  • Fasting

  • No junk food

  • Rigid sleep schedule

I started playing a game.

Maximizing my health— at all costs.

It took all my focus and mental energy to sustain, and what was I left with?

A path I didn’t choose.

An optimized life.

—

I was rigid.

Strict beyond reasonable doubt.

I watched myself push away friends, family, and opportunities.

In the name of “better health”.

I forget social connection — a major part of health.

I lost the spontaneous things, being alive, and the fun that goes with trusting your gut.

TLDR:

Neglecting your health sucks.

But so does optimizing it.

Balance is everything.

Real health is easily sustained.

Real health does not require rigid discipline.

—

This is not an excuse to eat chips and veg out.

That’s not what you want.

And you don’t want the flip side of being too health conscious.

Instead, find a lifestyle you love:

  • Food that isn’t a diet

  • Movement that gives you energy

  • Rest that is restorative

Create a life where health serves you.

Frees your mind.

Not the other way around.

Once you find something you enjoy — continue with it.

See how far it takes you.

—

And keep your goals in the back of your mind.

What are you doing it all for?

  • Clarity?

  • Weight loss?

  • Confidence?

Your reason is unique.

Keep that in the back of your mind.

Better— write it down.

It is easy to get side-tracked from your goals.

There are many “side-missions”.

If you try to master every side-mission — you will never succeed in the real goal you actually want to accomplish.

Until next time.
