God is Real.
just look.

I don’t think I ever considered myself atheist, but I never felt anything higher than myself that would have made me believe otherwise.
This was before years of meditation and trying mushrooms.
I only knew the stories of God and Jesus as they were told to me.
Jesus healed the blind, Jesus made the deaf hear…
But I hated being told what was true by someone else and wanted to discover for my own what everyone else claimed to be true.
I think most people feel this way too — needing to feel rather than be told.
And though I am not well versed on the origins of Christianity, I believe that things such as mushrooms and other naturally-occurring psychedelics were used in religious ceremony for thousands of years.
Which led people to believe in God.
Fast forward to modern day…
These drugs are only now being widely accepted. (still with pushback)
And only because real people tried them and changed their minds.
Speaking on changing your mind everyone should watch the documentary Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan or read it, if someone wants to learn about the power of psychedelics from the science research POV.
Or listen to Huberman talk about it.
PTSD
Anxiety
Bi-polar
Depression
Eating disorders
Psychedelics have shown evidence in healing with all of these conditions.
Yet, federally we still do not allow them.
Allow booze though.
A substance that makes you forget about what happened the day before and brings little nuanced thought.
Though it is a good time.
I say this all because the world would be a better place if people had a better relationship with themselves.
Every-time you think/see a problem, know it’s internal.
A mirror reflection:
Others flaws → what you hate about yourself
Your own inadequacies are on display every-time someone triggers you or you cast judgement, it is really towards your Self.
Most people would not make friends with their own Self.
My friend, Jack Moses mentioned this yesterday on a call and it really stuck out to me:
You need to marry your-Self
What does this even mean and how can you do this?
My perspective on this idea, is to:
Be kind to yourself
Do nice things for yourself
Acknowledge where you self-sabotage
Try to live from the present (past/future are illusions)
Doing nice things for yourself is key.
Often people will buy each other a coffee, a new book, or go out of their way to do something nice for others.
How often do you intentionally do something nice for your-Self?
Jordan Peterson’s second rule in his 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote for Chaos, is to:
Treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping.
Be your own therapist, lover and all of it.
Back to the God point.
You need two be on top of two different things:
Relationship with Self
Relationship with God
From my own experience, these two seem to be so interwoven that when one falls the other goes down too.
Probably a chicken or the egg phenomenon. (which came first?)
Why you may ask?
You will never have a good relationship with yourself until you acknowledge you are finite and something is more than you.
Something above it all is “guiding” you towards certain behaviors, inclinations, different actions, etc.
You cannot know why you make certain decisions you do, why you abstain from some actions and have proclivities to others.
This is God’s doing.
And if you fail to feel and see this fact, you will walk around thinking life has no purpose.
Basically what I am trying to say is:
You will be a better person when you believe in God.
You do not have to be religious to believe in God.
You need to learn how to believe in God.
You need the tools to feel God.
Psychedelics and deep meditation are the best ways I have come across in my own point of view.
I am still young and am not fully experienced.
Yet, I feel aware enough to recognize this very fact and to try my best not to judge myself yesterday…
Because I know: I did the very best with the information and experience I had available at that time.
Secondly, I know that without those tribulations and epic failures I experienced from my past I would have never learned.
The more you try to resist failure and fear the longer you stay stagnant.
It is true that failure is the great teacher after all.
Perhaps fear too.
I hope this hits for y’all.
Plus, you are walking around in a dream, you are a creator.
Get out of your head for one second and you will see that everything you have created in your life is better when you stop over-thinking and trust it will work out fine.
I have this note written on my laptop for constant reminder:

Note to Self.
